White vinegar has tons of benefits for your laundry that you may not even know about! Best of all, it's cheap and easy to find.

A cup of white vinegar added to the washing machine’s rinse cycle will brighten colors, prevent dye from running in new clothes, whiten whites, remove lint and static cling, kill bacteria and odors, remove soap residue from the clothes and the machine, soften the laundry, eliminating the need for fabric softeners.

Check out VinegarTips.com for all types of techniques for using vinegar with your laundry as well as ways you can use it for your garden, your car and more. Here are just a couple of the laundry-related tips:
  • add 1/2 cup to the wash cycle to prevent lint.
  • dab a mustard stain with vinegar before washing it
  • spray vinegar on the underarm and collar of shirts to remove odors
If you're looking for other common household items that have uses you may not know about, search LOZO for "raid the cabinet" ideas.

yep
This works really well. You can also use white vinegar in place of cleaners in the kitchen and bathroom.
