Beware of convenience stores

Convenience stores and gas station snack shops are deadly to the monthly food budget. A single drink or snack can cost 3 times more than it would elsewhere. Seek out a supermarket or discount store when the thirst or craving hits in order to save money and to have a wider selection of healthy alternatives. Or keep a couple of spare items in your car for when you need them.
