Some costs are unavoidable, such as taxes, tag and title fees. Others, however, may be extra charges that dealers tack on to increase their bottom lines, such as advertising, administration and sales fees. An extended warranty might even be included, whether or not you requested one. Before the sale is final, be sure to see a list that outlines every charge and be prepared to question any that sound strange or seem unnecessary.
