There are numerous places to sell your gift cards, including eBay.com, craigslist.com and specialized sites like plasticjungle.com, certificateswap.com and swapagift.com.
If you find a match with a buyer you might be able to get close to the value on the card, though you should usually expect to give up a 10%-30% discount.
Some sites offer a guaranteed cash-in value but be prepared to give up a good chunk of value that way. Still, if you have no other use for the card, this is one way to cash in for something.
