Cereal is now sold in a variety of packaging. The traditional cardboard box takes up most of the front part of the aisle, but make sure to look at the entire space as cereal in plastic bags is starting to make a presence. The cheaper packaging often means a lower (unit price) for the consumer on the same product. Manufacturers’ coupons are still valid on these items assuming the size restriction is met. Consider buying a reusable air-tight plastic cereal container for your home and refill it with the cereal from the less expensive package.
