Mistakes happen. Sometimes the price on the shelf is incorrectly linked to the product’s bar code. Sometimes a weekly sale was not entered into the store’s computer system. Sometimes the cashier accidentally scans the same item twice. And, sometimes an extra items makes its way into the cart. While none of these errors are intentional, they can still take money out of your pocket. Watch the register screen as the items are scanned and review the sales receipt to make sure there are no improper charges. If there is a mistake, head over to the customer service desk to ask for a refund. Some stores even offer to give you an item for free if it rings up with the wrong price.
