If you are paying for data services and can send e-mail from your phone, then you can “text” that way too! Just send an e-mail to a special address and it will come through as a text. Then when someone responds, you’ll get an e-mail back from them. Best of all, no text charges will apply since they come through as e-mails. To text someone type their cell phone “number” into the “number” part of the following email addresses:
- Verizon Wireless: number@vtext.com
- AT&T: number@txt.att.net
- T-Mobile: number@tmomail.net
- Sprint: number@messaging.sprintpcs.com
