Shopping during the right time of year can save you a ton money on electronics. Traditionally, Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) is one of the best days for great deals since retailers consider it the kick-off to the holiday shopping season. Because the deals are so great, though, it’s also very competitive: plenty of shoppers arrive at the crack of dawn or even camp out the night before.
If that’s not your style, try shopping online on Cyber Monday (the Monday after Thanksgiving), the day retailers offer some of the best “online only” deals of the year.
After New Year’s is another great time to shop. Retailers are trying to unload product that didn’t sell over the holidays and to clear out their old inventory in anticipation of the upcoming year, so they’ll often have great deals and clearance sales. Labor Day, President’s Day and other such holidays can also yield good finds.
Whatever time of year you chose, do your research beforehand so you know specifically what you’re looking for. This will help you recognize a good deal (or a bad one) when you find it.
