As with any purchase, be sure to check the return policy of jewelry stores. When shopping online, make sure the retailer doesn’t have a restocking fee if there’s a reasonable chance you’ll have to send it back. A 30-day return policy should be the minimum when you are giving a gift, in case you pick something the recipient doesn’t care for.
