Plumbing and electrical systems can be costly to fix. Take your time going through the house before the final purchase, with the help of a licensed home inspector who will find things you might not have even known how to look for. Make sure there are no leaky faucets, running toilets, dripping plumbing under the sink or water stains on paint that may be a sign of a leaky pipe behind the walls. Make sure to replace or repair any leaky faucets or pipes. Also check all the power outlets to make sure they work, to avoid costly or frustrating electrical repairs once you’ve moved in.
