Used furniture can be a great money-saver, and depending on where you live you might have a lot to pick from, with a little searching. Visit local thrift and consignment stores. Check out garage, moving or estate sales in the area. Look for used-furniture ads in the local newspaper, on websites such as Craigslist.org, and around college campuses at the end of semester. Students often need to move out quickly and are willing to sell their used furniture for a bargain.
