Although it may seem like a good idea to search for the absolute cheapest price on gas, the process of driving around town to look for the best deal (or driving farther from your home to the station advertising the best price) usually ends up wasting more gas than it will actually save. Fill up around the corner if the extra driving will net just a few cents per gallon in savings – it is usually only worth the longer trip if the cost is a full 10 cents or more cheaper per gallon of gas. Keep an eye on prices and when you see them dip, then fill up.
