Although it may seem simple, driving less uses less gas and costs less money. Find simple ways to limit driving – such as running all your errands at once. This will often reduce the number of miles you have to travel from home and a warmer engine uses less fuel, too. Always choose the most direct and convenient route, to minimize detours out of the way and to avoid traffic. It is also helpful to stock up when possible, since driving to the grocery store once per week instead of every day saves trips, time and money. Better yet, if you are close enough – walk. It’s great for your health, the environment and your wallet.
