This is in our general tips about Electronics, but it’s worth digging in a bit deeper with printers since they come with an array of options. First and foremost, consider the basics. If you’re printing basic documents, you don’t need an expensive printer capable of creating crisp, long lasting photos. Similarly, if you don’t need a scanner, don’t buy a printer with one. The same is true for many other additional features such as being able to fax, make copies, etc. By contrast, if you need all those features–get them. It will be cheaper than buying each of those machines separately.
