Understanding which speakers to invest in can save you money on a home audio system. If the system is used primarily for music, the majority of your speaker budget should go to the front left and right speakers which should be large enough to produce base and hopefully even prevent (or minimize) the need for a subwoofer. If the sounds system will be used for movies first, music second, then more money should be invested in the center speaker which conveys most of a movie’s dialogue and soundtrack. Invest wisely and you’ll get more bang for your buck.
