Most people don’t need top-of-the-line (i.e. expensive) fitness equipment or sporting goods. Check out Walmart, Target, Sears or other discount stores for more affordable fitness equipment, including resistance bands, dumbbells and bicycles. Also look for basic model sporting goods instead of chasing down the latest (and more expensive) varieties.
You can also save by buying in sets and combo packs. Instead of buying a lot of different dumbbells, buy something like the Gold’s Gym 40-pound dumbbell set which lets you adjust from 5 to 40 pounds on the same set of handles.
