Befriend the sales staff at your favorite clothing stores. They will likely be in the know about when stock will be rotating and when sales will happen. Some sales people at smaller boutiques may even offer to hold an item or two until you can get in to take advantage of the sales. This works really well for smaller specialty stores or consignment stores, too. You might even get invited to special insider sales, or get to take advantage of their “employee discount” this way, which can mean savings of 50% or more.
