Over the long run, getting a good deal on a pair of good, sturdy and comfortable shoes is a better bet than buying lots of cheap ones. Poorly made shoes can lead to foot health problems and end up costing more if you keep replacing them. Take care of good shoes with regular cleaning or polishing. At a minimum, wipe down a pair of leather shoes regularly with a damp cloth to keep dirt out of corners and keep the leather from drying out and cracking. Bring your best shoes into a shoe cobbler for regular checkups.
