When stocking the refrigerator, stores normally have the fresh batch in the back of the display and the older batch closer to the shopper. Find the latest expiration date to save money on discarded eggs. Also make sure to quickly examine each egg to make sure none are cracked or stuck to the bottom of the container (one trick: try to turn each egg slightly as broken eggs that have leaked on the bottom won’t turn). Damaged eggs will just end up in the trash.
