Hallways, door frames and room size all play a role in whether or not a desired piece of furniture will make it to its final location. Don’t lose a deposit on a sofa that won’t fit up the stairs, or on a king-sized bed that won’t fit in the bedroom, because you forgot to measure beforehand. Sectional sofas can be great, but can overwhelm a room, so measuring the space is key. Same goes for recliners, which need room so they won’t bang into the wall behind them. Also keep in mind that what looks good in the showroom does not always look good in the living room. Make sure the desired furniture will fit in with the scale of what is already in the room.
