Store-bought compost can be expensive – $5 for a small bag. Making your own at home is simple. Grab a few old 2 x 4s and some chicken wire to build a compost box. Fill the compost box with yard waste and food scraps and make sure to mix it up once in a while. It will keep food scraps out of the landfill and money in your pocket instead of at the nursery.
