To find a deal, start with the online clearance sections of the big department stores like Macy’s and Sears. Also checkout online/direct retailers like Mattress.com, and Overstock.com. Then read mattress ratings & reviews before buying.
There are a few price differences to keep in mind when buying online. On the plus side, this gives you a chance to use an online-only coupon, get cash back, or find a mail-in rebate. Plus you might not have to pay sales tax which can really add up.
On the downside, be sure to factor in shipping and handling costs. Some online retailers will jack up these fees to try to squeeze some extra profit out of you.
