Free programs like Pdf995 allow you to create PDF files from your documents. If you already have an advanced program like Adobe Acrobat you have this capability too. For files that you want to keep as records, but for which you don’t necessarily need paper copies, try printing to PDF instead. It will keep an electronic copy on your computer which you can access (or even print to regular paper) anytime you need it. Just be sure to backup your files so you don’t lose your only electronic copy. Try a free or low-cost backup service like Mozy.
