Although there is an initial cost in the batteries and charger, they will more than pay for themselves in time. For example, a disposable AA batteries cost around 40-80 cents each, and last for 4 hours. That’s 10-20 cents per hour. A rechargeable can cost around $2 but can be used 100s of times. The cost? Only 1-2 cents per hour, even factoring in $10 for a charger!
