With more ways to view TV shows and movies online for free or at a very low price, you’ll still get plenty of options for your viewing pleasure. For starters, Hulu, XfinityTV, Joost, Veoh and various network sites (NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX) all offer TV shows for free online. There are also a number of low cost alternatives for movies and TV shows such as Netflix and Amazon’s On Demand service. You may not get the same breadth of options as you would from cable or satellite, but you’ll still have plenty of options and it will be a fraction of the cost.
If canceling your cable or satellite service is too much, consider downgrading to a cheaper plan and relying on these free and cheap options to help round out the picture.
