For those facing financial difficulties and the possibility of having utilities shut off, try to get a doctor’s letter if you have an infant or elderly person in the home, or a medical condition which necessitates having power. A doctor’s letter should include your name, account number and the reason it is a medical necessity for the service to remain on, and may need to be renewed every 90 days.
