For most consumers, the 'off the shelf', pre-built PC is the cheapest and simplest way to go. This tip only applies to tech-savvy consumers who are capable (and, heck, might even enjoy) custom building their own PC. By purchasing all the parts from a company such as NewEgg Tiger Direct or eBay, you can assemble your own computer. By doing this, you're also doing some of the assembly labor that you'd normally pay a manufacturer to do. Not only can this save you money on your PC, but you can tailor it to your specific needs.
