Instead of paying for long distance service on a land line or cell phone, opt for long distance phone cards. Great deals can be found at warehouse clubs like Sam's and Costco, and international cards can often be found where University students hang out. Rates (as low a 2-3 cents per minute and no access charges) are generally cheaper than those offered by the phone company, and you only pay for what you use.

Great money saver & tracker
Prepaid cards are gr8 if you have to make many long distance calls. This saves you money and keeps track of your minutes
