Discount days are a great way to see any number of sites for a reduced rate. Theaters, museums, galleries, parks and zoos all offer discount days, usually on the same day of the week every week. Depending on the destination, you'll get anything from discounted admission to limited facilities up to an entirely free pass for the day. And don't forget about certain museums and galleries that are free all the time. Plan your daytrips smartly to visit each place on its discount day.

Ask your hotel concierge
If you are travelling, it's worth asking the hotel concierge where and when the good deals are. Alternatively, try to find a welcome center or tourist bureau.

morning line up for evening tickets...
A lot of theaters and other events venues release a certain number of tickets very cheaply on the morning of the day of the show. Just need to find out what time to line up in order to get the tickets!
